Queen Fish at CP 7.

Another one bite the dust Rizan again this time got Queen Fish around 4kg at CP 7. Rig he using that day Single Hook Clip Down designed for long range bait sandeel targeted for Big Monster but this fella eat the bait. On that day it's was raining heavy like cat and dog but we also went and set up base camp at one of the shelter. We met two old timer on that day and chit chat about their fishing expedition and tips about big game surf fishing.That all folk tight line and screaming reels.

Flounder & Flounder

Rizan got this Flounder a.k.a. Ikan sebelah or Sisa nabi on his light tackle using 3 hook flapper rig bait dead prawn.

Me too got the big one Flounder on my surf set intended for big game but this fella took the bait sandeel a.k.a ikan pasir-pasir head i cut into half using Bomber rig.Tested the rig report card 10/10.

Rigs For Surf Fishing.

Pulley Rig Layout: This rig is excellent for fishing over rough ground for larger fishes and the hook length can easily modified with thicker nylon or wire when fishing for toothy critters such as spurdogs.

Single Hook Clip Down Rig Layout: This rig is designed for fishing at medium to long range over clean to semi-rough ground and can be used for various species including Cod, Coalfish, Pollack, Dogfish, Thornback Rays and Wrasse.

Bomber Rig Layout: This rig is designed to maximize casting distance and will allow you to fish 2 hooks at long range. Its suitable for targetting whiting, codling, coalfish and dogfish.

3 Hook Flapper Rig :

This is a short distance rig and is probably the most used by UK match anglers. Especially suited to fishing clean ground at short range. The snoods can be positioned anywhere along the rig body. Rizan caught this stingray weighing up to 23kg after 3 month off or MIA at his Kampong of Heaven.Only fought it less than 10 minutes with his new rod Rambo 16ft pair with Shimano reel. Bro Travis was with him as i was working that day.

Lady Luck Sis Catherine was there to witness the event.

This bugger is heavy and Rizan look very happy waiting for this moment.

With the help of Amin and Izad caught the only ikan pasir-pasir a.ka. sandeel of the night by net casting. They asked me to use the bait as my gear is ready for Red October a.k.a Big Monster. But instead I landed this nice Grouper right after the tide turns down.Picture Izad and me with the catch of early morning.

Our deadly bait for the night menu sotong kelong and combat pasir-pasir. Rizan's Mean Machine Penn Pendulum PPT pair up with Penn Senator like Power Ranger peh piao!!! My first Stingray weighing around 5.3kg waiting for this moment for two years since one got away at The Island 2007.
